Brian talks to Niño about his dedication to independent music, as a DJ for KPFK in Los Angeles and co-founder of dublab.com, the pioneering internet DJ collective.
Niño has been involved in the production of more than 75 records, including collaborations with Madlib, Cut Chemist and Miguel Atwood-Fergusson, as well the acclaimed J Dilla tribute album, Suite For Ma Dukes.

On Friday March 9th, 2012 at 8pm PST/11pm EST I’ll have guest Carlos Niño on my weekly radio show GENERATOR which is broadcast on 93.5 KRTS Marfa Public Radio. Niño is a co-founder of dublab.com, a DJ and producer who has worked with Madlib, Cut Chemist and Miguel Atwood-Fergusson – most notably on the acclaimed J Dilla tribute album “Suite For Ma Dukes”. He’ll bring by some select rarities from his LP collection and speak about his upbringing in the pioneering days of internet radio and as a curator and advocate of independent music.

I’m on, everything takes longer and gets left behind on tour but it makes me a happy jack.
